Artist's Description

During the years of 1954-1955 I served as a medic in Inchon Replacement Depot in Korea. During my off hours I would take many pictures with both an Argus C3 slide camera and an 8mm film camera. One of the activities that I was involved in was to visit orphanages in Inchon as well as Seoul. While there I would do minor medical treatments to the kids in the orphanages. The kids were so upbeat even though they were residents of an orphanage as well as victims of a war that had just ended. The original picture was one clip in black and white from the 8mm movie camera. Thanks for looking and hope you enjoy this.

About Dale Stillman

Dale Stillman

I have always had a strong love of the arts. For many years I tried Oil and Watercolor painting but never felt that the results matched my vision. Photography was 1st introduced to me by my parents when I was about 7 years of age. At times I would get in trouble because I wanted to use the film for scenic pictures rather than relatives. This love of photography gave me the opportunity to take many pictures while serving in the Army in Korea during the mid 50's. Now being retired, my wife and I travel the Northwest on short photo junkets. Thanks for stopping by and viewing my pictures. All images shown in this portfolio are owned by the artist Dale Stillman and are protected under US and International copyright laws. Any reproduction,...
