Debbie Reynolds 1

During my tour in Korea I was fortunate to have a great seat for the show given to us by a group of entertainers. This photograph was taken w/an Argus C3 which was a wonderful camera at that time. This show that included Debbie Reynolds was the only one at our base during the time that I served there. This was so much appreciated by all servicemen.

This photograph was taken as we continued our drive through Central Oregon. As I recall, it was a short distance from this location to the town of Fossil.

Painted Hills

The best time of the year for viewing this spectacular area of central Oregon is in the spring, preferably May. The evening w/the sun setting in the West gives the best rendition. However, that being said, we still found some wonderful colors yesterday morning as we made this one of the planned stops as we continued our trip through central Oregon.

Central Oregon Trip July 28 and 29

Just came home from a 2 day trip to Central Oregon. Took the route from Vancouver, Wa. to Crater Lake via Willamette Pass in Oregon. Spent the night in Prineville, Or. I was able to take over 400 photos some of which I will keep while many others will be deleted. Took this picture in Antelope, Ore. This is the town made famous many years ago by the Rashneesh Cult.

This and That of my Photographic Experiences

During my Army tour in Korea which took place during the years 1954 and 1955, I had the opportunity of working as a Med Tec at the Inchon Replacement Depot which was located at Ascom City, approx. 10 miles from Inchon. With my trusty Argus C3 for most of the tour, I was able to experience and capture many aspects of life in that country. I found the people of that country that I met to be very friendly and I had many opportunities to go to their villages with a Korean helper we had and give medical aid to some of the Koreans that we had heard needed help. I am thankful for that opportunity and also thankful that I was able to take many pictures while on duty there.
